workshop two: draw-it!

The second workshop, draw-it has taught me many new skills and techniques. This module has allowed me to explore the use of different mediums and tools involved in drawing and rendering. It was not as time consuming as the model-it module but required just as much skill and concentration. The draw-it model was difficult for me as I had not had developed the skills required for this module prior to the commencement of the module, hence I struggled to produce work at high standards, but with trial and error I grew comfortable in my skills and developed my own technique to draw and render and my works slowly improved each week.

workshop one: model-it! modelmaking

The first module of the architectual communications course has, as expected, been very time consuming but most importantly, has taught me a vast array of new techniques in regards to making models. It has also showed me the process through which a final model is made. The final model designed by an architect is usually never the first one they think of, but has come about due to earlier process models. Models are an effective tool for communcating ideas to all people before the real scale model takes place. This module has expanded my creativity and has allowed me to express myself through the models that I make.
